This beautiful painting which is acrylic paint on canvas is part of a series which was called "Not just a walk in the Park' The Heron has been a present on many of my walks at a local country park. I have included her in many paintings, I am drawn to the size and elegance of this bird the still posture when standing in the reeds and almost prehistoric shape when in flight. Although large in size amounts the reeds she camoflages herself in this wonderful environment which provides shelter and safety.
